As our skin ages, our collagen production naturally slows down. The Collagen P.I.N. is a method of introducing controlled micro-injuries into the skin that trigger a release of natural growth factors that create new collagen and elastin, which results in plumper and firmer skin.

We typically recommend a series of 3-6 treatments depending upon your areas of concern. Treatments are usually spaced in 4 week intervals. Patients with deep wrinkles, advanced sun damage or any type of scarring usually require 6 or more treatments to achieve the desired results.

What does that procedure involve?

A topical numbing agent is applied ahead of time for your comfort during the procedure. A sterile, single-use, surgical grade needle tip containing 36 micro-needles is attached to the Collagen P.I.N. Hyaluronic serum, vitamin C serum or platelet rich plasma will be applied and needled into the skin. After your treatment, the serum used will be applied again to hydrate, heal and protect your skin.

What is the downtime after the collagen P.I.N?

Depending on your skin’s sensitivity, redness can last for 24-48 hours. You will purchase an after-care kit which greatly minimizes symptoms and enhances your overall results. For the first four days after treatment you may only use mineral powder make-up since it can’t build bacteria.

How long will it take me to see results and how long will the results last?

Most patients see results after the first treatment, but individual results vary depending on the health of your skin. It is common to see positive results within 1-2 weeks after the first treatment. New collagen and elastin formation in the skin are documented as visually and measurably improved as much as one year after just one treatment, but a series of treatments is recommended for best results.
